The tradition of Tunkhannock’s Founder’s Day pulls together activities that both observe long-established service and also celebrates new activities. The annual event, includes festivities that celebrate the over 100 years anniversary of an area business and also adds entertainment, music, over 150 vendors along with a greater assortment of food.
Friday kicks off with a tree lighting by Santa and Mrs. Claus at Peoples Security Bank, Tioga Street a little after 5pm with a live broadcast by WBRE-TV. Then the evening kicks off with Horse and Wagon rides, Trolley rides, Ice Carvings, entertainment, and Living Windows and other entertainment.

Savor the tantalizing smells and tastes of our local food favorites. Specialty food stations will be sprinkled throughout the town to delight your taste-buds. Heirlooms quilts, original needlepoint designs, music and artists all on display for your enjoyment.
